2007 Shelby Mustang GT500-
This customer wanted a top of the line system but did not want his car cut or any holes drilled to accomodate the after-market components. No problem! We were able to utilize the existing holes in the car by machining custom adapters to integrate the upgraded components. The system consists of an Alpine IVAW505 multimedia station, Alpine PMDB200 GPS Navigation system, Alpine PDX5 5 channel digital amplifier, JL Audio Stealthbox and Hertz 3 way component speakers.
The IVAW505 was a pretty standard installation with the Multi Media controller integrated into the dash with a Metra installation kit and harness. That was the most straight forward part of the installation. The Alpine PDX5 was mounted to a shelf machined out of aluminum that was made for the standoffs to match up with the holes that were already in the rear deck.
The JL Audio Stealthbox mounts in the rear of the trunk and as you can see it matches the carpet and blends in nicely not to mention the kick from the bass.
The integration of the Hertz Speakers were a lot more work. We machined a plate to accomadate the tweeter and the mid-bass into the stock 5"x7" opening and then created an adapter ring for the bass speaker into the stock door opening so we could use the factory plastic speaker cover.
This system sounds as good as it looks! We can remove all of the equipment in this car and re-install the factory stereo with no holes or traces of alterations for a stock look. We have all of the programs for the machined parts stored for future use. So if you want a truly one of a kind custom install give us a call.
