This is an install of a MoBridge Bluetooth/iPod integration kit into a 2006 Mercedes S350. This kit allows you to have all of the functions of the factory bluetooth plus touchscreen control of your iPod through the factory deck.This is a "plug and play" solution that integrates into your Mercedes COMAND fiber optic loop right behind your stereo. Once installed and paired to your phone it will download and display your phone book, call log and give you the capability to touch dial from the radio's display. If your phone carrier supports voice dialing it will allow that also through the micophone. The iPod functions will display through the radio's screen as well. Playlist, artist, songs, albums etc. all with touchscreen control, while your iPod is tucked away charging in your glove box. This unit is a must have for the Mercedes COMAND system equipped vehicles. It costs less than half of what the Mercedes Dealership will charge you for their system which will not give you the iPod capability Image:  This is an install of an Escort 9500CI into a 2008 Mercedes SL63 AMG. As you will see in the pictures the detector is virtually hidden. The front Laser shifters are hidden behind the honeycomb grill and the rear laser shifter blends into the black license plate frame. The radar antenna is placed behind the Mercedes emblem since it is radar transparent because the factory parking sensor is placed behind it as well. The display module is mounted at the base of the instrument pod which makes it both visible to the driver and unobtrusive at the same time. The GPS antenna is on the dash above the instument pod which is invisible to the driver while driving and blendsinto most dash boards. The Control module is mounted in the ash-tray for easy access and can remain stealthy when the cover is closed. The speaker is mounted under the dash. All of the wiring is wrapped, zip tied and run in conjuction with the factory wiring. Unless you are a factory trained Mercedes technitian, you literally can not tell that there was any wiring added to the vehicle. Image:  2006 Mercedes C55 AMG This customer had us add a Passport SR7 to his clean ride. We mounted the front sensor centered behind the grill. We made a bracket to bring the sensor upto the centerline of the car. It blends into the black behind the chrome grill. The wiring was run in a loom through factory holes under the hood. The rear sensor, like most, mounts to the lisense plate frame. The control module is mounted behind the visor. A very clean look! Image:  This is a 1986 Mercedes 190E 2.3-16 only 1500 of these were made for US delivery between 1986 & 1987. This car was a joint effort between Mercedes, Porsche and Cosworth. Mercedes felt they needed a sports car to compete with BMW. This one did. With a sticker price of $46,000+ in 1986 it was a targeted to a small niche of buyers. This car has only 30,000 miles and is all original except for the fine stereo system we installed. Notice the custom kick panels. The were extended to accept 6.5" components and angled to bring the staging to the left middle of the car. They were then painted and textured to match the original color and texture. Next the rear deck was removed and a new one was fabricated to fit another set of 6.5" seperates. It was also ported to allow the bass fill the cabin. Two Kicker Solobaric 8" woofers are built into custom molded fiberglass enclosures. The trunk is finished out in matching carpet with a contrasting carpet and a raised Mercedes logo. The trunk mat was replaced with a masonite board covered in Mercedes carpet with a raised and radiused edge and finger holes to allow easy access to the spare tire while upgrading the stock look and feel. An Alpine CD changer, digital signal processor and 3 farad capacitor finish off the install. One of the best looking and nicest sound quality installs I've heard!
