Wireless World Chatterspot Phone Pay Off Contest Official Rules

PARTICIPATION CONSTITUTES PARTICIPANT’S FULL AND UNCONDITIONAL AGREEMENT TO AND ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND PARTICIPANT’S AGREEMENT TO ABIDE BY ALL TERMS, CONDITIONS, RESTRICTIONS, LIMITATIONS, CODES OF CONDUCT AND LAWS APPLICABLE TO THE CONTEST.
 

1. CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD: The Wireless World Chatterspot Phone Pay Off Contest (the “Contest”) begins Saturday, July 1, (the “Opening”) and ends December 31, 2023 (the “Closing”) (collectively the “Contest Period”). All eligible Chatterspot sign-ups within the Contest Period will earn an entry into the drawing as described herein.
    

2. ELIGIBILITY: No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not increase the chance of winning. Open to legal residents of the U.S., who are 18 years of age and older. The Contest is open only to: (i) Wireless World customers who enroll in Chatterspot by responding “Y” to an SMS text invitation, (ii) Wireless World customers who enroll in Chatterspot via text or online text opt-in, (iii) Wireless World customers who enroll in Chatterspot by texting “WORLD' to the prescribed number and opting in, (iv) Wireless World customers who are text Chatterspot enrollees prior to the beginning of the Contest Period who request an entry from any Wireless World location (collectively under subsections (i)-(iv) “Eligible Customers”). Eligible Customers must be enrolled in Chatterspot and opted in to text at the time of the drawing. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and is void where prohibited by law. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
    

3. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Eligible Customers who become eligible during the contest window (either through enrollment or a requested entry) will be entered into a single drawing.
   The drawing will be held between Dec. 31 - first part of January 2024. Each Eligible Customer will have a single entry in the drawing. The winner will be selected randomly via a drawing from all eligible entries.
    

4. PRIZES: Each Eligible Customer will receive one of the following prizes:

   1. If the Eligible Customer has a device payment plan “DPP” with Verizon Wireless, Wireless World will pay, in the form of a Verizon account credit, the outstanding amount of the DPP or

      $1,000, whichever is less.

   2. If the Eligible Customer does not have a DPP with Verizon Wireless, the winner may select either a $500 Verizon account credit or a $1,000 credit toward the purchase of an upgraded device on a DPP with Verizon Wireless.

   3. If the Eligible Customer is not a Verizon Wireless subscriber, the winner will receive a $1,000 credit toward the purchase of a wireless device on a DPP with Verizon Wireless at any Wireless World retail location.
       

5. WINNER SELECTION, NOTIFICATION AND ODDS: Wireless World will notify the winner of the drawing as they are selected. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of entries included in the drawing. After the Winner is verified, a written confirmation, a W-9 tax form and instructions for claiming or receiving the awarded prize will be emailed to the Winner. All W-9 forms must be completed and returned to Wireless World no later than the end of the calendar month in which the winner is selected. Winners may be required to return to a Wireless World location to redeem their prize. 

6. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: All winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations. The value of any prize awarded to a Winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. The winners will be solely responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with the prize they receive. If a potential winner cannot be reached within two (2) calendar days from the first notification attempt, if a potential winner fails to redeem and use their prize within thirty (30) days of notification, or if a potential winner is ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, then such person shall be disqualified and, an alternate winner may be selected for the prize at issue. Global Wireless Inc. dba Wireless World and its agents are not in any way responsible or liable for damages resulting from shipping and handling, loss, use or misuse of any prize awarded in this Contest.

   All winners, by accepting the prize, agree to permit Wireless World and its representatives, employees and agents to use their identity, including their name, photograph, image, likeness or voice, in any photos, prints, video or audio recordings, visual media, advertising and promotional materials, and internet or digital content or platforms, created or used for commercial purposes related to promoting the contest or the business of the Wireless World franchise system.

   Wireless World may modify and/or terminate the Contest at any time in its sole discretion and such modifications may result in additional terms, conditions or requirements that may disqualify an Eligible Customer or Eligible Associate from continued participation in the Contest. If, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of running as planned, including as the result of tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical corruptions or failures, illegality, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Wireless World, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, or in the event company business plans dictate, then Wireless World  reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend the Contest, modify eligibility requirements, terminate the Contest or disqualify or suspend participation for any Eligible Customer or Eligible Associate. Eligible Customers and Eligible Associates who participate in the Contest will indemnify Wireless World from and against any and all damages incurred by them arising out of or related to any fraudulent or illegal conduct by such Eligible Customer or Eligible Associate participating in the Contest.

7. GOVERNING LAW/DISPUTES: Except where prohibited, each Participant agrees that this Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of South Dakota, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. Sponsor reserves the right to take such action as it deems necessary to enforce these Official Rules and ensure the fair operation of the Contest, including without limitation barring Eligible Associates who do not comply with these Official Rules. By entering, Eligible Associates consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the appropriate federal, state and local courts located in South Dakota for any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded.
